Mental Health Training

At Lightning Youth Academy, we focus on implementing methods of mental health for youth and parents.

In running and most sports is normal to experience symptoms of anxiety and self-esteem. At Lightning, our youth learn methods of breathing, calming methods, grounding, visualization, progressive muscle relaxation, and methods to help improve self-esteem and confidence to achieve personal goals and compete.

It takes a village to raise a child, as a result, workshops are provided to parents to support, empower their youth athletes. Parents learn methods such as the difference between praise, words of encouragement, and more through workshops led by Dr. Cholula, MA, EdD.
