RACE INFORMATION/Informacion
This is the USA-TF competitive regionals track meet. Runners will have the opportunity to compete in the 3K, 1500, and 800 meters.
Please note that the days of competition are different from those of all other races.
Friday: 3000 Meters (Evening)
Saturday: 1500 Meters (In the morning)
Sunday: 800 Meters (Morning)
Please note that all runners can participate in this USATF regionals meet, but the committee is requesting competitive times. Please ask your head coach if your runner qualifies for this meet.
Qualifying Times to participate in the USA-TF Regionals.
1500: 6:59 Minutes or faster
800: 3:59 Minutes or faster
3K: 13:59 Minutes or faster

•Rolling Schedule: No specific times, one race after the other and there may be different heats. Below are a few tentative times. Please listen for instructions from the coaches and the first, second, and third calls.
FRIDAY: Please plan to arrive by 4:00 pm at Cerritos College.

Race 1: Girls 11-12 @ 5:00 pm
Race 2: Boys 11-12 @ 5:15 pm

SATURDAY: Please plan to arrive at 6:15 AM at Fullerton High School. First Race at 7:00 am

Race Day Tips
Be on Time
1) Please plan to meet at the suggested times and meet by the red arrows, especially if your runner is 8 and under. If your runner is older, plan to arrive two hours before the race.
2) Please bring your own food, water and snacks.

Lightning Uniform & Racing Shoes
2) Make sure runners race with their Lightning uniform. Also, make sure runners have training shoes to warm up and racing flats or spikes to race.

We will be getting the new uniforms this week. We will let you know when they are ready.

Payment
Please make the payment via Zeffy. If runners cancel or do not show, runners still need to pay. Lightning pays a few days before, and if parents do not pay, Lightning loses money.
To avoid losing payments from registrations. A site coach or assistant will be reaching out and sending private messages directly to make the payment.

Please make sure your runner is on the final roster. If your runner wants to race and if not in this list, please talk to coach Cholula ASAP.

Warm-up/Cool Down List
Please make sure your runner is on the warm-up/cool down list. If not in this list, please contact your site Coach ASAP.
Parents and runners, please stay near the Lightning tent. Coaches and assistant parents will call runners based on their age division to warm-up to race and cool-down after the race.
Please make sure who is the warm-up coach for each age division. If not near the tent or the runners does not warm up with the team, it is the parent’s responsibility to find the assigned warm-up coach.
